CT angio and catheterization both require radiopaque dyes which can affect the renal system. But what if CT angio is suggestive of an intervention? The patient will have to undergo the invasive procedure anyway✌️

He’s 💯 right. CT Angiography will give to full kundli of your heart. The only hiccup is they inject heavy dose of contrast which is not suitable for weaker kidneys and X-Ray exposure is very high. The doctors in multi-specialty hospitals prefer to target hospitalised patients with traditional Angiogram which is a painful and fearful. That makes their case easy to convince them for a surgery. It’s all about the money in the end

Dude that scan gives calcium score which will tell how much your vessels in your heart might be blocked My advice is if you are young , have good diet ,lifestyle, no hypertension and diabetic You don't have risk Than doing this first do ECG ECHO and Treadmill stress test

Discrediting angiography to promote Cardiac CT angiography. That’s so low & pathetic. If CT angio is equivalent to regular angio, why don’t all medical professionals get it rather going for conventional angio ? CT cardiac angiography has it’s benefits but isn’t a replacement

CT Angio is not very accurate, lot depends on how low the CT team is able to get your heart rate to at the time of test; beta blockers are administered there. Also a lot depends on how powerful the CT is,a 256 slice CT scan works best. Wire angio is still the gold standard
