My secret project that has been in the works is finally done!! Adopted 2 benches for Bin at Esplanade, Singapore! 💜🤍 Starting this project as a little secret of mine helped me cope with the grief I had in my heart, because it made me look forward to something, and I really wanted to give something back to Bin for all the times he brought light in my life~ it’s the last precious memory that Bin and I will share together so I’ll keep close to my heart! 🫶🏼 It all started since a few days after the news broke… It started as a thought of “what if I can adopt a bench in Singapore?” after finding out that the Seoul bench adoption will expire in a few years… then the thoughts sparked into an action and after so long it’s finally completed 🥹 23/4/23: the thought process started and the search for a project began 26/4/23: contacted Esplanade 28/4/23: first viewing of the available benches 3/5/23: second viewing of some selected benches, decision to adopt & donation made 29/5/23: Plaques on benches installed It was tough choosing the locations, but what finally got me to decide was the amazing view and breeze at the waterfront bench 🌃🌬️, and the sighting of some butterflies and the moon at the Forecourt garden bench 🦋🌙 Bin-ah I asked you multiple times to tell me what you wanted since I couldn’t decide, and it seems like you wanted both (hence the strong winds like you were giving me a hug at the first bench and the moon at night at the second bench)… so I got you both are you happy?🤭 You can choose to sit at the waterfront bench and enjoy the breeze and pretty waters which I know you’ll love, or you can go to the forecourt bench and lie down and sleep because it’s so big 😂 The waterfront bench has a 10 year renewal so I’ll renew every 10 years as I renew my promise to remember you and live well~ and the Forecourt garden bench is a lifetime adoption which means you’ll always be remembered~ But Bin-ah was it your doing? I wanted the plaques to be up on the 26th of May since 26 is a special number because of your birthday, but there was a delay so it couldn’t be done! Then I requested for 6th June as it’ll be the 49th day of you leaving to a happier place but… suddenly the admin staff told me they were installing it yesterday??? What were the odds? It was right after my exams… was that you delaying the project because you wanted me to focus on my exams?🥹🥲 I wrote in my letter that I wanted you to bless me for my exams and I guess you did by celebrating with me with such news after the exams 😌 I guess you also wanted to visit earlier 🤭 It’s a bittersweet feeling really… I’m really happy with what I’ve done yet it hurts thinking of the reason of why I even thought of this project to do… I’ll come often when I miss you so please visit often okay! You did mention that you wanted to come to Singapore for the fancon, so now I’ve made a place that’s specially for you so please visit often!! 😄 My favourite moon, you’ll always shine the brightest! I’m always thankful to have known you in my lifetime and I’m always so grateful for all our memories together! I’m back after another long break from social media. I had to put together my health and other projects in my life before focusing more fully on this chess project. Some of you asked why I’m into chess. It is an emotional attachment that would take long to explain. I will most likely be into chess for the rest of my life. Others proclaim that all I want is to be an influencer. I wish to have influence like anybody else, but if influencer means producing frivolous content for the entertainment of the masses, then the answer is no. My mission is to save this beautiful product of human heritage and promote the value of this game. Chess has taught me many things. The chess world is my drosophila for understanding the real world.

This is probably my stopping point right here, as I've been working on this for the last four to five hours, and the costs of spending more time on this are outweighing the benefits. The issue I'm running into now is that it doesn't seem to be agentic enough to be able to do stuff on its own that is meaningful, such as build apps generatively and take my feedback. I do think that the technology has a lot of promise, so I will check back in a couple weeks or months to try and pick up where I left off.

🐈‍⬛ first of all, i think our upcoming 8th mini-album is going to be out really soon 🦮 on the 21st 🐈‍⬛ first of all, as all the members said, we’re really confident about it. i wanted this to be the highest point of our career at this moment, and i believe this album is going to do that for us. 🐈‍⬛ and after that, i think we’ll just keep going on with the world tour. we only just started. this is our second or third stop here in the u.s. and latin america, and we still have a long way to go and a lot of things to do. 🐈‍⬛ the only thing i can say is that everything’s going to be amazing

I want to put a worthy project before you and explain why I’m backing it, and why I may eventually have some personal involvement in it. “Deceived: The Ruin of the Modern Woman: A Christian Exploration and Confrontation of Feminism.” Here’s the Kickstarter: There is a longer trailer on the Kickstarter, but I've also attached the shorter conceptual trailer. First, the project itself: it’s a documentary by a Christian director examining the history and consequences of feminism and offering a biblical alternative. Second, here’s why I’m backing it. I’ve known Les Lanphere, the director, for a while, and I know him to be both a talented filmmaker and a principled Christian man. I trust him to tackle this subject biblically and with intensity, but without unnecessary harshness or shock-jockery. I also believe this is one of the defining issues of our day, and it’s one I’ve worked hard to address for most of my adult life. Feminism has obviously affected men and society as a whole, but now that I’m the father of three daughters and have a daughter-in-law, I’ve become even more concerned about what it has robbed women of: the beauty of their unique, God-given design and purpose in His world. So, for me, this is a trustworthy creator tackling a crucial subject in which I’m personally invested. I’m not yet sure to what extent I’ll eventually be involved in the documentary itself, but I backed the project for $300 today, and I’ll probably increase that once I’ve had a little more time to consider it. In the meantime, I want to challenge 50 of you to back the project for at least $5 each. That may not sound like much, but it helps. And the more people who get behind the project and follow its progress, the more attention it can gain. Even if you can only give a few dollars, you can play a real part by backing it, following it, and helping get the word out.
