Listen up everyone I’m going to share a true story. I’m from a very small town on the East Coast. During the summer we had a small town fair which encluded “Girly Shows” In 1969 as this song climbed up the charts in late August this song was used as a hook for the girls to dance to so the guys would enter the tent. This song was blasted on speakers so loud my house was 12 blocks from the fairgrounds but I went to sleep dreaming of the girls dancing to this.
