My father had once told me that Pangong Tso Lake was one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Since then, I have always yearned to go to Ladakh, and as I continued on my Bharat Jodo Yatra, I thought, what better way to visit Ladakh than on a motorcycle! A journey has all kinds of discoveries, and the most incredible one was the love and humility of the Ladakhi people. Their empathy and wisdom about Ladakh is unmatched, and any plan for the future development of the region must be based on their input. Ladakh is one of India's crown jewels, and one of the world's most important strategic locations. It broke my heart to see a sense of betrayal in the eyes of the people. They felt betrayed by the Prime Minister when he lied about Chinese occupation of our land. They felt betrayed by the BJP government when it failed to fulfil any of its promises. A government must empower all of its people, and Ladakh needs good governance. Bharat Mata is the voice of each and every Indian, and I will do everything I can to amplify the voice of Ladakh. At Thang, the last border village, a tourist woman named Suman Bhat was being briefed by a local girl while showing the last village, Faranu, in Pakistan-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan. During the briefing, certain words were concerning. The girl referred to the visible agricultural land and the village of Farano simply as 'Pakistan's agriculture' and 'a Pakistani village.' I respectfully object to this description. 📹 Today, I attended the sod-turning event for the construction of Protea Village in Bishopscourt, Cape Town, and I look forward to returning once construction is complete. The development of Protea Village will see 86 families return to the area after being forcibly removed in the 1960s and 1970s. As the Department of Public Works & Infrastructure, we are proud to have played a role in this project by making the land available for development. Working with all spheres of government, the Department looks forward to supporting similar projects across the country as we continue to restore dignity to communities. #LetsBuildSA 💙🇿🇦

My Indian bike has given me the chance to explore and visit some of the most remote villages, places rarely seen by outsiders except the villagers themselves. The road I'm riding on was built only for this mountainous village, and it ends here. The fresh air, peaceful weather, and unreal views make this place incredibly beautiful. Whenever I visit the mountains of beautiful Afghanistan, I honestly never feel like returning to the city again. No matter how depressed or stressed you are, visiting places like this makes you forget everything for a while

Roads in Ladakh? Here, I'm sharing a video from 2009, riding to Khardung La (then the world's highest road). I first met Modi ji here; he was personally involved in constructing this road. Jokes aside, roads in, around, and leading to Ladakh are maintained by BRO and are mostly built every year after the snow melts in summer. This year, in June, when I was traveling to Ladakh, a section of the road between Manali & Leh, specifically between Gata Loops and Pang, was completely damaged. Last year, it was absolutely fine. Even in 2009 and afterward, whenever I went there, it was much better. I have extensive footage of the condition of that road, but we won't blame Modi ji for it because it would be unfair to BRO. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has been maintaining all of these roads in the challenging weather conditions and terrains for decades, irrespective of which party is in power. The technology keeps enhancing every year (including the cameras), and so do the efforts of BRO...! ✌️
