Hello Twitch — please replace the Knock button with a Raid button. I've literally never heard of anyone using this — like ever.

@Twitch A really great idea tbh! A raid is by far the better community-building tool than the ridiculous investment that is Guest Star and all the stupid features associated with it.

@Twitch Instead of "raid" maybe just bring back hosting? I know a lot of ppl consider them the same - but I liked them being seperate features

@Twitch right right... but then you'd be asking twitch to make good decisions. and we know we cant have that.

Knock feature is actually pretty decent if you stream together with friends. Though the dogshit thing about it is that it doesn't work with Opera... despite Opera being on the supported browsers list. So you gotta use Chrome or Firefox which may deter some users. To raid I simply type /raid (username), plus there is already a raid button in your dashboard which shows people on your follow list who are live, pretty much exactly what you asked for.

@Twitch The knock button scares the shit out of me

@Twitch I would also accept that drop down menu to be Raid or Knock. By default, it would say Raid but if you want to join via Knock, click the drop down and select it. Just spitballin' ideas here.

@Twitch Hi nutty! This is for people with friends! Maybe not for you and that's okay! Hope this helps!

@Twitch I accidentally clicked it once and I wanted to die

@Twitch please omg ive accidentally pressed this while trying to raid out its actually so embarrassing 😭😭

@Twitch I’ve used it multiple times and it’s a cool feature to use w friends or others in the same category you’re playing with. It’s also a lot more inclusive than the shared streams they used to have w partners only. A raid button would be a nice qol change though

@Twitch the whole stream together process needs to be readjusted anyways 😂 we’re always confused!

@Twitch Honestly, replacing knock with a raid button is a no brainer. One actually grows communities, the other just feels like poking someone on Facebook in 2009.

@Twitch Using it all the time

@Twitch Totally disagree. As a streamer that loves doing collabs with friends, the Knock button is a good feature. You can bind a button to raid someone on your stream deck if it bothers you that much to do /raid (username) xD

@Twitch Stop thinking of things that people should be thinking of around a big table among cigar smoking executives. Stop being logical.

@Twitch Something that would make things easy, nah they would never 🤡

@Twitch Honestlyy this is such a good idea I would use this alllll the time! I never use the knock one.. ever xD

@Twitch So true, that would be amazing having that.

@Twitch I use it all the time for the stream together feature

@Twitch Oh you expect Twitch to replace a useless feature with a feature that 99% of streamers use every stream??? 😂

@Twitch Ngl i use the knock button all the time

@Twitch I use it all the time. VTubers use it to combine chats during collabs. It’s a very useful feature.

@Twitch The amount of times I’ve accidentally hit that button and shrivelled up inside 😭

@SchaesPlace @Twitch It would make raiding so much easier.

@Twitch Or why not both? If I plan on co-streaming with someone and one of us is live earlier than the other we use that knock button

@Twitch i do use it sometime but honestly i just go through my dashboard so a raid button would be super neat!!! also whatever happen to the raid suggestion system they were trying out?

@Twitch Adding a raid option there would be dope. It’s a handy button when you’re coordinating with friends. I’ve used it plenty.

@Twitch I use the knock button with my friends, however I do agree, I think a raid button would be far more beneficial!

I agree. Raiding is far too complicated, it should be an easy thing to do. I see too many streams just end because they are tired and don't want to fuss with a raid. Make it easy for streamers to raid another streamer and there will be a lot more retention. I know that if I am watching a streamer that raids someone else, I stay for the raid and keep watching. But if a streamer just ends their stream, I turn off Twitch and go watch a movie or something. You guys, @Twitch, are losing viewers because raids are more trouble than some streamers think they are worth.

@Twitch but but but... the Knock button is Twitch's solution to discovery and growing your channel!🤡

@Twitch I "knocked" on someone's stream I thought was a fren, and after they denied me they also unfollowed me. Never using the Knock button again. 😭

@Twitch Agreeeed. Anyone who's streaming together usually lets their friend know in their chat that they're ready to go either way😭

@Twitch Knock is great if you have friends, ... maidenless?

@Twitch Shoot i think ive used it almost every other stream lately. Its great for smaller creators to gain viewership by combining the views and pushing both higher up the list. But i agree there should also be a raid button there.
