Now, 32 years later, it is a blessing to witness the blessings of the Lord from that dedicatory prayer. The Kingdom of God is being established and growing in this remarkable land.

🚨 Disgusting betrayal of faith: A so-called Catholic priest stands before his congregation and prays for President Trump to die — and they laugh out loud. “Pray the Lord will take him.” This isn’t Christianity. This is evil wearing a collar and hiding behind a pulpit. Real faith doesn’t cheer for death. Real faith doesn’t weaponize prayer as a curse. Real faith doesn’t mock human life for political points. God is LOVE. Not hatred. Not vengeance. Not “let’s all giggle while we pray for someone’s death.” Jesus commanded us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us — not to celebrate their demise like it’s some twisted victory lap. This kind of “Christianity” is a cancer. It perverts the Gospel into something dark, hateful, and demonic. It drives people away from Christ faster than any atheist ever could. God has waited for Africa for a long time. I share this conviction as I welcome the mission of the Mantle of Deborah and A Million Women Prayer Movements, and I pray that God will raise a million women in Uganda to pray for our nation so that we can rise and become what God intended Africa to be. I have no doubt that God will answer, and all the honor and glory will go back to Him. When women rise up and are determined to do something, they do it. If we all rise up and pray, I can't imagine how much more God is going to do for all of us.

Zimbabwe has made its first compensation payment of US$3.1 million to white former commercial farmers under a 2020 agreement. Under that deal, Zimbabwe will not compensate for land taken over under the land reform program, but only for ‘improvements’ on the farms. 1% of the compensation is paid in cash, while the remaining 99% is issued in USD-denominated Treasury bonds. These bonds carry a 2% annual coupon rate and has maturities of 2-10 years. To date, 740 farms have been approved for compensation. This US$3.1 million payment will go to the first group of 378 farms, which have a total approved compensation value of US$311 million. Separately, Zimbabwe is also compensating farmers whose land was protected under Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreements (BIPPAs). In these cases, Zimbabwean law requires payment for both the land and any improvements. Finance Minister Hon Prof Mthuli Ncube hopes the compensation will convince foreign creditors to clear Zim’s arrears and open up long term funding from sources such as World Bank and the AfDB.
