Help us settle this debate: When you park your car, do you pull in or back in? ⚖️ Chase Elliott weighs in: "If I'm in a truck, I'm probably backing in every time."🛻 Brad Gillie disagrees👀 What do you think??

@chaseelliott @BradGillie The most important reason for backing is safety. Your path can be determined to be clear when you arrive. So back first. When leaving you are pointed forward limiting any surprises.

@Leadfootgirl9 @chaseelliott @BradGillie Whatever Chase does it’s the best way. IMHO. #di9. ❤️Chase.

@chaseelliott @BradGillie Rarely back in. I will scope out a pair of empty spaces to drive through so I can just drive out easier if it's Target or something. I'm not going to stop the flow of traffic to back into a space, that's ridiculous IMO. Same folks who do that also don't return their carts.

@AndrewKurlandTV @chaseelliott @BradGillie I pull in. I used to back in and then I hit something 😅

@AndrewKurlandTV @chaseelliott @BradGillie Back in or pull through so that you move forward when leaving. When I work for Jacob's engineering it was the standard for all of us when traveling they were a big beyond zero safety company. Now it's just habit.

@chaseelliott @BradGillie I usually back in, or more likely a pull-through. Always ready for quick and easier escape.

@chaseelliott @BradGillie I back into my driveway every day. You have to backup one way or the other, so why not have a clearer line of sight pulling out of the driveway? Same for me at work, too.

@AndrewKurlandTV @chaseelliott @BradGillie I was taught it’s always easier to back in than to back out. You don’t know how close some fool will park to you while there. So make it easier on yourself to just be able to pull straight out when leaving, especially if need to leave in a hurry

@chaseelliott @BradGillie Agree with Chase - its easier to back in when youre driving a truck

@chaseelliott @BradGillie Depends on the time and place, too crowded? Pull in. Not crowded? Back in. At work I'll back into a spot so that I can easily escape the small lot after work!

@chaseelliott @BradGillie No, it’s crazier stopping to make a turn like they do in Kentucky. There’s a whole shoulder of the road you can get over and make it turn. They won’t use it. They think there’s a rule like Daytona where you can’t break that white line.🤣🤣😂😂

@chaseelliott @BradGillie I almost only back in but I’m a First Responder and we all do it, because we drive Fire trucks and Ambulances and we have to back into places and so even in our own vehicles it’s breed in our brains to back into places to a spot

@chaseelliott @BradGillie I prefer backing in. Pulling out of a spot is so much safer than backing out of it.

@chaseelliott @BradGillie It’s not that they backed in, it’s that they’re blocking the ramp. Check the curb to the driver’s side if the car -> it’s a ramp
