Don’t force the brush😊 Soft clean cloth wrapped on your finger with a smidgeon of fluoride toothpaste suitable for their age -gently massage over gums & the teeth that are through. At this age it’s more about what you wean them onto.Sugar/fruit juices in a bottle are a big no no

A dentist told me that at that age, them chewing the brush was the best thing and far better than me trying to brush. So let them do it, if they will ❤️

We used a brush baby chewable brush. You just put a bit of toothpaste on and then he can hold it himself and chew on it. Our son took to it really well! X

My youngest was like this so I got him one for him to just play with and get used to the feel of. It by his own hands as they love putting anything in there mouth :)

Put some breast milk or favourite liquid on the brush and let him chew ❤️

Give them the brush to chew on, brush your teeth in front of them, they will copy you (also, when they are older, there a lots of things on tv/in books of their favourite characters brushing their teeth that will help!) And most of don't stress, it will work out :)

Take a look at the Frida baby training toothbrushes (they do finger brush too) - sell them in Boots.

Flashing character tooth brushes, they love just playing with them and then it becomes fun. That’s the mums and dads anyway…. Not sure about the kids 😂

No need to brush teeth - give them a brush, just like you have done, and let them chew and get themselves used the the feeling of a brush in their mouth. Best time is story time before bed. The chewing is enough for babies. Speak to your dentist.
