Elon Musk’s Father Denies Apartheid in South Africa Errol Musk, father of South African-born American tech billionaire Elon Musk, claims apartheid never happened in South Africa. The 79-year-old business man, whose less-than-admirable character and familial ties to pro-apartheid and neo-Nazi movements within South Africa are a matter of public knowledge, said this in a November interview on CNN. Musk’s statements echo a long tradition of denial of the historical atrocities committed against Africans by those who have benefited the most from these atrocities.
