My friend, who loves movies and all kinds of obscure stuff, went to see this and said it sucks. I was surprised that even he said that.

This is deadass the single worst scene in any movie in the history of film ever, found conveniently within the worst movie of all time ever

Still need to see this even though Neon Demon is the only Refn film I don’t like and this kind of looks like him in that mode again.

This one is really out there. It looks like Neon Demon but it's completely different. It felt more like a Kojima cut-scene.

That doesn’t exactly sell me on it lol

Yeah. I also feel like it's a movie for nobody. It's just for NWR.

my question is what did nwr show neon to convince them of the viability of hph? on paper, the movie has no message, aspires for nothing, and i struggle to find a reason for this 'story' to be told. the script is fragments. did they just say, 'go for it?' completely blindfolded?

They probably liked it for those very same reasons.

The only great thing of this film is the Pino Donaggio’s score

It sounded like a leftover score too.

It’s easily his most unwatchable movie. It’s for the hardcores.
