Beginning in May 2020, Burrell’s Bloods gang took over the George Floyd square, leading to multiple shootings and crime. As a federal prosecutor, I charged the Bloods and Myon Burrell’s brother, Michael Burrell, for these crimes, including murder. Meanwhile, during the riots, Kamala Harris solicited money for a MN Freedom Fund, which gave bail money to free criminals and rioters. In Aug 2023, after being off probation for 3 months, Burrell was caught by police in Hennepin County with an illegal gun and drugs. He could not be charged by the Hennepin County Attorney due to a conflict-of-interest because Mary Moriarty, who is horrible at her job, hired Burrell to be a paid advisor on her 2022 campaign. Despite being a convicted murderer, the Kamala Harris-backed MN Freedom Fund bailed him out. Burrell was set free again.
