I'm glad people like DOOM, but I can't help but roll my eyes when I see people extoll the "story". Doomguy curbstomping the argent controllers in 2016 and acting like he couldn't possibly care less about the lore was funny, and was poking fun at overly complex worldbuilding.

Actually the origin of Daisy is revealed in a codex entry. He refused an emotional support dog after his court martial and instead chose a rabbit. That was Daisy.

Also read the codex entries, it explains how he is sent to mars, and also it's gut wrenching to read that because his kid had a bunny plush, he chose a bunny over a dog for rehabilitation

Wait a minute. PRESUMABLY the place was being destroyed because, I'm guessing off the clip, terrorists had taken over the hospital and were using it for a military base so they sent him in to destroy it? If there still civilian patents in there, why didn't they try negotiating first, or send in a whole SWAT team to ensure that any would-be collateral damage was minimal instead of just "nuke it and forget it"? And why did the girl run off? Shouldn't she be able to recognize the guy is police or army, and clearly different from the terrorists who presumably killed everybody else?

Flashback enemies are kinda dumb (literally) [first flasback from what I seen here] and their projectiles doesn't even fit their weapons. It looks weird.... like made by different studio.

its basically an interactive cutscene. The enemies aren't meant to pose any real threat man lol
