Here are both clips in slow motion. #GoSensGo The problem with this is that people can't differentiate between severity and intent. Larkin got the worst of it, and hopefully he's alright. But Perron actively attempted to injure a player. Retaliation is not a valid excuse.

It looked like Joseph cross-checked Larkin's head from the other angle. But in reality, he hardly made contact with an open hand. I don't know how you can compare these plays. One is a terrible accident and one is purposeful.

As a wings fan I agree. But Joseph has a history with Larkin that shouldn’t be ignored.

I don’t have a dog in the fight but genuinely confused why people keep talking about Joseph. Clearly Kelly (accidentally) caused the Larkin injury.

Both players were wrong. Joseph wasn’t just making a hockey play Perron should’ve stood up for Larkin a different way. Neither excuses each other

@BizNasty2point0 It is clear as day. Clip A) is a battle in front of the net that happens 20 times a game. And hopefully Larkin is OK. Clip B) is a straight cross check to the temple. The league will confirm this when they announce that Perron is the only player who will have a hearing.

What Perron did is inarguably worse and was called as such Joseph didn’t intend to injure Larkin that seriously, but that’s exactly why there’s no excuse for a headshot like that Both can be true
