Many of these can be written off by the fact NYC and the twin towers have been historically iconic making it very likely if someone wanted to write a book or graphic novel about destruction, why not the largest most iconic city with a guest appearance by the most iconic objects in that city.

I think some of these are programming. But most of these could be chalked up to the Towers being the tallest buildings in the biggest city in the US at the time.... Of course people are gunna use it for movie covers, etc. Some of these are a complete stretch lol
