Here is a good and balanced analysis by Peter Windsor. He reviewed Max's onboards and concluded that Max Verstappen did nothing wrong. The clear mistake was made by the FIA. They should have announced Lando's 5 seconds track limit penalty well before the incident, and then there would have...

Alex Brundle also has a logical explanation about the incident between Max and Lando here

Sad thing is though the damage is already done by many media outlets such as @SkySportsF1 & the pundits & also by Will Buxton presenting extremely one sided opinions on the official F1 channels. Of course @PeterDWindsor once again spot on the money and as was @AlexBrundle but the certainly some others that just can’t ever help themselves but taking digs at both Max and RedBull.

Last week, Lando pushed Max into the grass, and now he complains that Max did not give him space while there still was.

The problem was Max places his car in the middle and AFTER passing the 100 meter board he veers left. Moving under braking. MAYBE he would have got away if that move didn’t take both of them out the race .

The stewards are inconsistent as Alonso has often said. They now penalize the consequences rather than the action itself, just like with Alonso in Australia. There have been similar incidents where the stewards did nothing. By doing this, they are creating confusion themselves.

Yeah even I noticed by watching the same clip over and over that it was the track angle not him turning his steering wheel which made him look like a culprit in this case. I think even stewards were expecting him to give up his place nicely which he didn’t and got 10 sec 🤷‍♂️

We know Peter, we know. Others don't. The hatred of max is clear from sky and other pundits. All in due course with Silverstone up next.

I like that McLaren is in the mix now. But is this spike on the front wing legal? Wasn't the cause of the puncture but will surely be the case in future races.

Max did nothing wrong? 😂 Peter is losing it.

Tbh, Peter is spot on. Just watch his analysis. The one losing it were Lando and the Fia. The stewards were sleeping again and were late in handing out that 5-second track limit penalty for Lando. If they had done it earlier, I'm sure Max would have let him go, knowing he would still win.
