Today only, Toxic Town billboards are using real time data to show what air quality is like across the country. If the air quality is “good” you will see a full poster for the series. If the air quality is “poor”, we are sacrificing our billboards to be covered in a cloud of white smoke. Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

Well, this is bad. As winds shift on Monday and Tuesday, lots of wildfire smoke is forecast to blow toward the coast in the Pacific Northwest, reaching Portland, Seattle and Vancouver — greatly reducing air quality. Some smoke will also spill into California.

🔥 While today's Canadian wildfire smoke was aloft, we are unfortunately anticipating near surface smoke to spread into the region Wed evening and Thurs. This is the kind that you'll be able to smell outside, reducing visibility & potentially causing air quality issues. (1/2)

At this point, wildfire smoke has become part of the daily weather forecast. A thick haze will reach the Midwest on Monday, then spread into the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and parts of the Southeast by Tuesday — though impacts on air quality are expected to be minimal.
