here is a montage about a decade of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

@chrismarkevich 3 decades.

As homelessness worsens because they don’t focus on the causes

Yes, all of this is depressing, disconcerting, discombobulating, and completely baffling

@PaceSociety If we help people too much by destroying everything that they have then it'll only encourage more people to choose to be homeless. We should try less humane solutions like providing housing so we can write the problem away by simply redefining it.

The only thing to date we haven't tried is mandatory rehabilitation! Honest question: How are they expected to get away from drugs if they have access to dealers? Safe supply will not work until dealers are put in jail, or drug addicts are put in a facility away from drug dealers

Different results? The DTES and its outposts have been as they are for decades now; I think it's quite clear that this is less of a problem that isn't addressed and more a deliberate result of policy. This is intentional.

Well at some point things have to change. The current situation can nit continue. If not now when? 🤔

Utterly baffling, like what the HELL they except from breaking up encampments? Do they think the unhoused people sort of...vanish?
