I saw this and my heart broke into many pieces... The caption that came with it on Whatsapp is as pasted below: "💥This is an Islamiyyah school in , Maiduguri, Northern Nigeria (Ile keu). This teacher is using Sharia law here, parent can't do anything. Majority of northern governor's refuse to sign child right bill, so children can be abuse. Our concerns as a community is that, we should say, "NO" to child abuse in whatever disguise ×××××××××××××× How can this evil be happening in this country like this. This degree of barbarism is unacceptable. The Government of Bornu State, must fish out the demented idiot and be brought to book."

As you said, I'm not actually confident in myself at all, but it's mostly bc of you, who came and filled in the parts of me that I couldn't do at all, who came and filled in the parts that I didn't want to do at all in the beginning bc I was too afraid. It's bc of you that I am who I am today. If it weren't you, then it couldn't be anyone else. Thank you so much for always helping me in everything. For our show today, even though it's our second time, at first I was like, "It's going to be chill. Of course we can do it. We could do a full hour concert with just the two of us, this will pass in no time, we can do it!" But it turned out harder than every other time for many reasons. We had many things to do too. But I was willing to do everything and I was honestly very happy during the show. I feel like I don't usually get to see myself let myself go, let loose, and just chill to this extent. I really enjoyed this time and that I was brave enough to try many new things. 🦊: Thank you, Bonnie, and thank you to all my friends here for having fun together. Music really can be medicine. 2 years ago I felt like I had absolutely no idea who I was. A year ago I couldn’t step into a studio without falling into complete panic. So to be here right now with 12 beautiful finished songs feels like such a gift. Honestly thank god for my friends and family. Life can be brutal but having a small group of people you deeply trust to walk you through makes it so much better. Jacob’s acceptance speech for ACTRA Montreal’s “Award of Excellence”: "Thank you. Thank you very much. I mean, I first have to thank my excellent and exquisite friend, Karine Vanasse, who did not have to do this. And I'm so grateful, thank you so much. I want to congratulate all of the winners, and all the nominees that I've seen up here tonight. You know, I have been—you'll find this hard to believe, I've been an ACTRA member since 1986, when I began my career as boy who gets kidnapped. It’s a role I played many times to varying degrees of success and varying ways of getting kidnapped. Obviously by car. One time was a van. One time was just my mom. But I did dubbing. I did original voice. I did theatre here. I've done everything. It was really, unexpectedly moving for me to see the amazing talent that is still doing this work that we all do, especially, I think, when we come from this city. I think the greatest gift that it gives us, the greatest gift that Montreal offers to actors, is a chance to try so many different things and to learn how to use different parts of your skillset to become, ideally, like a Swiss Army knife, right? And be available to people and be like, “Yeah, I can do that. I can do that.” You hear a lot of that here, and it's really, really cool, and it's really, really rare. I am so relieved that this isn't a lifetime achievement award… But I am so grateful for this, and I’m so moved by what you guys cut up there [in the sizzle reel], it was really amazing. Every parent begins as a first time parent. I often get responses from parents of older/adult children wishing they’d had access to some of the information I share when their children were younger. You know what? I wish I’d had it too. At the time of my children’s birth I had a masters degree in early childhood education. I was teaching kindergarten. (That’s me in my header photo.) Did it give me an advantage? Maybe to some degree. I certainly had a strong interest, and perhaps a little more knowledge than some. If my son had been born at age 5, I would have crushed this whole parenting thing. But when it came to babies, my knowledge was all academic. On the day our son was born, my wife and I had exactly 0 days experience caring for a baby of our own. The same holds true no matter who you are… every parent begins as a first time parent. And we all make mistakes and learn as we go. I wish I’d had access to the great video examples made possible by social media as both a parent and a teacher… which is why I do what I do here on X. “Back in my day” the primary opportunity to learn about child development was by reading. What an advantage it is to actually see some of these concepts in action. I love thinking this platform might give new parents and grandparents a leg up. But rest assured… we all do the best we can with the knowledge we have. And you were great. So is this terrific new dad, shared to IG by ownitbabe.

Sam Altman: “No matter how great your idea is, no one cares.” Sam is asked what a founder should do if they have an idea but don’t want to talk about it because a big company might steal it. He responds: “Here is one of the things that takes founders a long time to learn: No matter how great your idea is, no one cares. Everybody is so distracted that you could probably put that idea with exact instructions for how to implement it on Tim Cook’s desk and take no risk.” Sam continues: “Extreme secrecy among founders is a bad sign. You want to keep some things secret for sure, but you should be willing to talk about the broad sketches of what you’re doing because you need that to recruit people, to get investors, to get customers.” Talking about your idea is also how you get feedback from other really smart people. Sam gives his own experience with Y Combinator as an example: “We at YC talk about everything we do. We talk about how to operate. We give our best possible advice. I have given talks before to rooms of people that want to start accelerators. And I say: ‘If you want to start an accelerator, here is exactly what to do step by step, and here are the mistakes to avoid step by step.’ And people always say, ‘Are you crazy? You’re giving away YC secrets.’ And we are, and yet no one ever listens… It was hard for me to learn this lesson of not fearing this… But don’t be afraid of telling people what you do.”

So here is new local privilege escalation zero-day I discovered, not patched yet too :). In simple terms, if you have a service like RDP that exposes an RPC server, there many system services running as SYSTEM connect to it as RPC clients. If that service is turned off (RDP is off by default), it seems that any other process in Windows can expose the same RPC server using the same endpoint. Now all the RPC calls from that SYSTEM processes will come to this fake server and If the process that deployed the server has SeImpersonatePrivilege, it can escalate to SYSTEM by impersonate the RPC client. In the white paper below, I describe five exploit paths you can abuse. However it's architecture problem and maybe there are more. It's Not A Potato

The results and how you act are important. Do you know what I love more than anything? Being right and having things to back it up. For Chris, I present a pop-up to an infielder in foul territory who is not running into the outfield in foul territory, he is just in four territory. The ball is caught, the runner on third tags and scores. As you can plainly see, the batter was NOT credited with a sacrifice fly. Now, I asked about this, and was told by the powers that be that this was the 100% correct scoring on this play because it didn't meet the criteria of an infielder running into the outfield in fair or foul territory. I hope that ends it. Honestly, any more arguing and I'll just assume you just want to be stubborn and not admit that I have this and you don't (which is fine, this is my area of expertise, not yours).

I had a conversation with a boy I used to know. I had a conversation with I child I used to know I had a conversation with the soul that believed just because you sounded sincere. I missed him, i miss me. It’s painful when you realise that you can’t hug someone who loved you before you knew what love means. Someone who believes in you so confidently that he was certain you’d not fail him. Ooh yes it’s painful you can’t hug me, but i think that’s for the best… because tell me how would i survive it, when or if that innocent beautiful child runs to me with open arms for a hug, how would I survive it, m knowing he would probably still forgive, with all the broken promises, and dreams that are still dreams. "X is a shit show" "X is for Nazis" "X is all about Elon Musk" "X is too noisy" "X's algorithm sucks" How many of you have heard stuff like that? I do, especially when I go to other social media sites, like Threads, which just passed X in total users. I find attitudes like that uninformed, but what stopped an uninformed person from writing something on the Internet? Nothing. But since I jumped over to Threads today and got another eye full of that kind of stuff. So I mostly wanted to say thank you to the community of tens of thousands of people in tech that I follow, and show you what my screens look like today. If you turn on audio on the video here, you'll hear me talk through each of my lists. I use X Pro and lists. And by using them I find even my For You feed gets better. Much better, in fact. Why? Because if you engage on the REAL X, which you can only see on X Pro with lists, the algorithm figures out the kinds of things that catch your eye and looks for more. Also, by following lists you give the algorithm VERY IMPORTANT signal and a lot more things to choose from. Even if you just follow my feeds and never use them, your For You feed will get better BECAUSE you gave the algorithm more signal about what you want to see. If I see a brilliant person, or a new company, I put them on my lists. If I see someone go political all the time I remove them from my lists, or, maybe put them on my news lists if they are posting an interesting point of view that I would want to watch over time. These are the most complete lists in tech industry here on X, by far. I read through a LOT of lists: https:// ts And here is how I have my lists laid out in X Pro. If you are in the AI industry and you aren't following all my AI lists you are hurting yourself and ignoring many thousands of hours of work I've put into them over 18 years of being here on this service. I can only do this on X. The companies, for instance, aren't on the other services, and the AI research and development community here is stronger and more educational than they are on other services. And, because of Grok integration here, X is a far better learning platform. If I see a scientist sharing something I don't understand I click the Grok button and it teaches me a lot more. Thank you. And, yes, there are many other "X's" that I don't see. Sports, being one. I focus only on tech and educated people and my lists show that X is the best place for science, technology, and nerdy news. One last thing: the algorithm will, in about a month, radically change to be totally AI driven.
