Here is clear proof that anything below 1300 MR should NOT be in Master Rank.

Some people are clearly misunderstanding this post, as usual. I’m not criticizing the player or players that are below 1400 MR. I even blocked his name. This isn’t about the player, it’s about the system. The ranking system is bad and it needs to change. That’s my opinion.

Also why are 1400 MR players trying to defend themselves hard in the replies? If you say rank doesn’t matter then why does it matter much for you to stay in Master rank? I think you should be in diamond rank and we shouldn’t get matched why does that hurt you so much?🫤

Even if we follow SF6’s logic. Once you hit master you’re 1500 MR, therefore if you’re below 1500 MR you shouldn’t be Master. It’s clear and simple. The only thing they’re doing by preventing demotion is inflate numbers and ruin the experience for some.

Preventing demotion is also a big factor in demotivating low MR players. 1- a lot of you once you hit master you quit because that’s your goal and you can’t be demoted no matter what. 2- a lot of low MR players stop improving since they think being master is enough.

While I see what you're saying, I was once in the 1200s in season 1 my first few days of grinding master rank. Fast forward to now I'm bordering on 1800MR with multiple characters and it's my first SF. You shouldn't gatekeep. Maybe they're still new.

It’s not gate keeping, you improved, but a lot of them are happy just being in master rank and that’s enough for them. It’s actually pulling them back
