Tom was the assistant coach at my alma mater (NMU) when I was there in the 80s. And when my daughter swam for MSU I was able to meet him twice at banquets. Same guy. He’s just a truly authentic person who loves student and MSU. Wise words and so heartfelt. His grief is palpable.
