Diagnosis, staging/guideline systems, & transplant. HCC diagnosis is imaging based (LIRADs). BCLC is most commonly used staging system, but there are several guidelines. Transplant basics are here. Btw these slides are from talk I gave for a ROVER seminar. 3/8

Treatment of early-stage disease. These patients do not need systemic therapy. 4/8

Intermediate & advanced, plus systemic basics. Intermediate stage is probably the most heterogeneous, although represents a minority (10-20% of HCC). 5/8

Great review @NiuSanford ! One point that I would like to make re:diagnosis is that anyone who is not getting a resection, should receive a biopsy. w targeted therapies/ tumor agnostic treatments it is not appropriate for ANYONE with advanced cancer to not have a biopsy.
