Here is how I made Xal’atath’s robe! 👗 I drafted a rough pattern first and transferred it to a heavy wool fabric. Hope the costume won’t turn out too warm, haha! The golden ornaments were 2 and 5mm EVA foam, which were primed and painted with golden airbrush colors!... show more

Here is a little BTS of our Xal'atath photoshoot from World of Warcraft ! We did everything in our own little studio and Benni did an outstanding job on the photos and editing to bring her to life! Our equipment was a Canon R5 and the Canon RF 50mm F1.2, which is always a breeze to work with! Thanks so much to Canon Deutschland for supporting our projects! I also really thought about doing this shoot on location, but I think the dark void background fits just perfect for Xal'atath! I am aware there's a pretty strong divide between Warcraft fans that say things took a turn for the worse with Warcarft III: Reign of Chaos (2002) - and to be fair I never understood why, and I am not part of that group. Yes, the original Warcraft (1994) and its sequel Warcraft II (1995) were both great and in a way genre-defining, but I don't think you find more people still playing I and II combined than those still playing Warcraft III to this day (even on a competitive level). How is this game 24 years old and still looks (and plays!) so epic? This feels like the absolute peak of Blizzard's power and domination in the early 2000s and it's kept most of its charm and brilliance. I remember Internet Cafes being packed to the rim with two factions. One were the Counter Strike squads, the other were the Warcraft III dudes. And you know what? It was glorious. Warcraft III felt like gaming had reached its absolute peak, it was probably THE most talked about and played game that year.

Mauvika's Sword from Genshin Impact was one of my favorite projects this year! We spent 2 weeks on it, made completely out of EVA foam and has over 300 built-in LEDs! Obviously I had to recreate the swords burning effect and LED strips and LED foam are always a perfect combo for that! Painting it with airbrush colors was also super fun and we are so proud of the final result! Let's hope for more sparkling light up prop projects in 2026! Genshin Impact #mauvika Genshin Impact DE

I’m a massive fan of World of World of Warcraft and play the game since 2005! I also did plenty of WoW cosplays in the past - so it was obviously huge honor when Blizzard Entertainment asked me to bring Xal'atath to life for their booth at gamescom 2024! We worked 5 weeks nonstop on her gorgeous design and thanks to our crafting support Ali cosplay & props and Krystl Cosplay we finished her just in time! 🥰 #worldofwarcraft #xalatath #cosplay

My Valkyrie was one favorite projects EVER and I absolutely love her design! I mean, a red head with sword and shield is is something I really cannot resist! 🥰 The whole armor was made out of EVA foam and faux leather and it took us 2 full months to finish! But as you can see, everything started with a simple duct tape wrap! It's just the best technique to get all the patterns right and start crafting! 😊 #cosplay #costume #selfmade

Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness (Blizzard, 1995) was such a badass game back in the day. Sure, from today's perspective it looks outdated, the graphics a bit clunky, the rendered cutscenes will at best get a "pass", but for anyone who plated RTS games in the 90s, Warcraft 2 was among the best. There was a time when Blizzard just rolled out incredible games: Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft, and then World of Warcraft - all four of those had such a massive impact on the gaming culture. It all started with "Warcraft: Orcs & Humans", but I chose the sequel for this post, since I believe this was their real break through game. Hard to believe for modern gamers... but Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness was once peak gaming! Within the period from 1993 to 1999, Warcraft II was the 6th best selling game among all that were released during that time.

🐰 as i mentioned earlier, this album is based on the motif of a golden moment. if you think about it, from the time when i was called golden maknae of BTS to my first solo under my own name 🐰i think it was really the countless journeys, countless hours and countless experiences that made me who i am 🐰 and so i wanted to make sure that this album was the best representation of who i am today. so the album is called "golden" for the same reason.

For World of Warcraft: Midnight cinematic reveal, I had the pleasure of modeling and sculpting the Sunwell Blood Elves that help Liadrin and Lor’themar fight off the Void. They were modeled in collaboration with Blake Sullivan and my lead Jason Huang. Blood Elves hold a special place in my heart as they were the first character I created when I started playing WoW 15 years ago. Fast-forward all these years, I would have never thought I’d be helping the cinematics team build the Thalassian Army of Blood Elves to help defend the Sunwell!

Made a tutorial on how I paint dark skin with my wife Mel, hope it helps!! The basic is avoid grayish colors, I always increase the saturation of my dark colors for shadows, if your shadows are warm you want to do your light colder (blues, purples blablah)...
