Ok so that isn’t a good example of a professional trying to do it, no control of his planes speed . So either he is training and has not got much experience. He is crap at it . It’s sped up making it look like his control of his plane speed is rubbish.

I flew in the US Navy. The baskets, shown, are used only by the US Navy/Marines because they can be easily fitted to carrier-based aircraft & allow a single tanker to refuel up to three planes at once, essential for quickly managing multiple fighters. I NEVER missed the basket!

TL/DR - the jet never connected. The fuel airplane ran out of fuel, used all of the fuel intended for the jet. A larger fuel plane was then deployed to refuel the original fuel plane. Once it filled up, the jet got the fuel it needed.

Looks like a retarded way to refuel. The engineers haven’t figured out an easier way to connect the two?
