With all due respect @presidentaligy, @SOSOrinoco has georeferenced the extensive legal & illegal gold mining in the #Essequibo that #Guyana is allowing & promoting, so we question your vehement assertions: "A forest that we have kept alive" “We have the lowest rate of deforestation in the world” REALLY?? ⤵️ ‼️Data shows that between 2000 & 2020 the area covered by forests was reduced by at least 135,318Ha ‼️Current mining footprint in the Essequibo territory (actually worse than @NicolasMaduro's record in Southern Venezuela!): 108.474Ha *BTW, while this territory is in dispute, it is currently under Guyana's control.
