🇬🇷🇮🇳 Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis was welcomed by his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at Bharat Mandapam for the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. Mitsotakis will meet with Modi on the sidelines to discuss the further development of economic relations between Greece and India, as a follow-up to their agreement in Athens two and a half years ago. The central political and economic goal, as set by the leaders of the two countries and reaffirmed during the visit of the Greek Prime Minister to New Delhi in February 2024, is the doubling of bilateral trade by 2030. As India becomes a global leader in services exports, Greek technology and shipping companies are being called to explore synergies. The way is also being opened for Indian investments in Greek logistics and energy infrastructure (such as clean hydrogen pipelines).
