@AjaTheEmpress @BBCr4today Is it wrong that I wish for her to suffer from the worst hot flushes?

@BBCr4today The whole thing was weird. Hot flushes are your body repairing itself and so it was like being reborn in the eyes of God - or something.

@BBCr4today Way to minimise women’s experience @BBCr4today I get that some women skip through menopause with nary a symptom, but for others it can be horrendous. We’ve just got to the point where people are starting to pay attention to this aspect of women’s health-so don’t sabotage it!

@BBCr4today I really wish people would stop minimising hot flushes - Jayne should try sleeping in a bed that bakes her awake every 2 hours & takes an hour to cool down, all through the night, & then deal with the resulting sleep deprivation while also overheating every 2 hours during the day

@BBCr4today Someone showed me an email yesterday from University of Glasgow talking about menopause and not mentioning women. Not once. These mysterious beings COULD. BE. ANYONE. There might be one in the room with you now, unknowable and unnameable, might be a man or a giraffe, who knows?

@BBCr4today ‘For all that they are disruptive…’ Kinda missing the debilitating effect that means some women aren’t able to continue their careers, have such interrupted sleep they can’t function, the knock on effects of feeling depressed, anxious… Maybe God isn’t on their side? 😏

@BBCr4today Jayne is on here. I've aways thought her reasonable but that was taking the piss. I'm a 41 year old perimenopausal women (been on HRT for nearly 2 years now) and it is not fun. Night sweats are awful.
