To all these Protestants who claim you are former Catholics, and you say that the Catholic Church taught you not to read the Bible or that you should stay away from the Bible, and that you can't understand it, only the Church can, quit creating calumny and falsehoods. I have literally walked into Mass and they have Bibles out in stands. You can literally contact your diocese and they'll mail you a Bible, as well as the Catechism. I know because I've done it. Vatican II, even the Catechism of the Catholic Church, requires Christians to read the Bible, so just stop with the calumny. There are a lot of things I disagree with in the Catholic Church, but this is not one of them. So stop lying. The Catholic Church teaches to read the Bible. They have study Bibles.
