It’s called the DBR9, and it’s probably the most awesome car Aston Martin has ever built. debuted in 2005 and competed in international sports car racing until the end of the GT1 category in 2011. Its name is derived from the original DBR1, the 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning car named after then-owner David Brown, which won the 24-hour race in 1959 and secured the World Sportscar title. I’ve been listening to so many iconic calls of John Sterling today and one that is not getting talked about enough is Aaron Judge’s 62nd home run. John was beginning to slow down in 2022 and was not making every road trip but when Judge was closing in on the record John made sure he was there at every game. He loved the game. He loved the history of the #Yankees and we loved him. Of course the call was outstanding and only John’s voice should be the soundtrack to such an iconic moment.

OUT RUN (Sega, 1986). Needs no introduction. Created by Yu Suzuki, its concept was based on The Cannonball Run film (w/ Burt Reynolds, Jackie Chan, Roger Moore, etc.) - which he's a fan. Ended up being Sega's most successful arcade of the 80's and regarded as one of the greatest games ever. Fun fact: last year at our local retro expo (RetroSC), I heard someone asking if Out Run was "a clone of TOP GEAR for SNES". Context: Top Gear is huge in 🇧🇷 and synonym for retro racing game. Crazy, but it is what it is.

We stopped at the Tim Hortons in Wawa today and met a guy named Roger from Dubreuilville. He told us the road from Wawa to Sault Ste. Marie has been closed 29 times this year – completely shut down. Right after, we got on that same road with MPP John Vanthof, not knowing if it would stay open. Everywhere we go up here in the North, it’s the same story. Maintenance was privatized and the quality fell off a cliff. Plowing is late. Inspections aren’t happening. And people are dying on these roads. We've introduced legislation four times to make Northern Highways Safer – but Doug Ford's government said no every time. Every time. But we will keep fighting for the good people in the North.
