Maybe these companies need to be paying a bond at the get go. Sort of like a rental bond. If you mess up our home, you don't get your bond back.

Australian's of all political persuasions and ecological stances should be outraged by this gross abuse of the publics trust. This green-narcissism is ecological vandalism and intentional financial theft of the public purse. They don't even bother with lube when they shaft us.

A rehabilitation bond in a form of a bank guarantee should have been in place to minimise such risks, the bank guarantee will be held by the regulatory authority and gets recalled if the company walks away or released if the company rehabilitates the site to it's agreed form.

Look into the Port of Darwin - it was a MASSIVE rip off deal that Howard signed to hide his exorbitant spending spree- that “surplus” - yeah…..it cost us far more than the balance received. Oh & it will continue to rip us off for another 80+yrs

You could have a field day if you looked into Gorgon LNG on Barrow Is. I think the contract was 970+ pages long and Gov must have only read the summary. On about page 896 I think it says they START paying taxes after about 15 years. Revenue is around $30M/day ($11B/year)

So how do we fix it @punterspolitix? (serious question). Doesn't seem to matter who we vote for, we only end up with the same bullshit. Feels like the system is broken and the public has no power to change anything like this.

With the hydrogen just found off the coast, why isn't Australia either using it themselves or profiting from it enough? It's a natural resource.

Hey mate, I've been watching your stuff on TikTok for quite some time and love that you have the guts to stand up for Australian's against big corporations and government With that said, it seems to me like it's a bridge too far with the set up of the system We can set up parallel economies though, and now we have a sliver of hope to thread the camel through the eye of the needle with the new technologies in the world Because you and I both know no one else is going to do it for us when the incentivzes aren't there for them But we can Would love to have a chat with you and share how we can do this together
