Simply Ignorant. USA wants NATO countries to contribute their fair share into NATO - a collective agreement Europe eagerly entered into long ago. Has NOTHING to do with USA “wanting large armies”. This is only funny to the uneducated.

US is delighted for countries to have big useless armies stocked with expensive useless US equipment. What they don't want is for countries to have their own self-sustaining weapons industry which will make them sovereign and independent.
