Are you telling me our FCPS bus routes have children crossing a four-lane highway? What’s the speed limit there? Not arguing the traffic law; hoping no route requires children to be put in harm’s way like that where we solely rely on drivers 3 lanes away knowing to stop.

No matter what side on a 4 lane road STOP

This has to be the dumbest traffic infraction one can commit. I think cops will cite you 100% of the time.

You guys should post up at the intersection of Edsall Rd and Cherokee Ave. tons of people like blowing that red light. Then you have cars merging from the inside lane to the outside lane while turning left to go onto the highway. It’s madness at that intersection.

TIL you still have to stop when traveling in the opposite direction on an undivided four-lane highway in Virginia. In some states (SC) you are supposed to keep moving.

I’m a school bus driver in the Falls Church area. I’ve noticed that many drivers fail to stop while I’m unloading children on Sleepy Hollow Road. Currently, we can only report stop-arm violations through tablet since our buses don’t have external cameras to record violations.
