I think the main difference is that changing the deadlock meta is accepted as it is still in active development While changing ANYTHING, even as small as an operator that might be a bit harder to spot at a distance ,will piss off the meta purist so much that valve might get firebombed.

CS2 has no room for actually new things. Last time they tried to add a new gun people rioted. The meta and gameplay for CS is so refined that purists will go nuclear if they do anything that touches actual gameplay. So funny chickens it is.

im ngl i can see deadlock having the same state of what tf2 going through but in a shorter life span i dont see the intrest in the game man

Okay maybe im not like, understanding CS2 has like 2M concurents, and every time they change literally anything that community riots Vs A game in early technical alpha that is being built actively in development and is subject to change In earnest, why do cs players say this?

tbfh i sometimes dont understand peoples overcomplications with CSGO having small updates, its just CT vs T, not much to really add when theres tons of maps(which ppl hardly use), semi decent set of guns, and millions of skins.

Unfortunately, deserved. The sheep still defend the title of CS2 over a better game such as Valorant (128 tick, no movement shooting accuracy, accurate hitreg, no dying behind walls, better map design against peekers advantage, as well as netcode against PA, better AC, etc.)

While Deadlock gets a lavish Christmas feast in an update, Counter-Strike seems to be in "Zimbabwe mode.🥲

Tbf didn't we also got a whole new game mode

Careful what you wish for. A pet system for player retention is not a big deal & it's funny/cute because chickens have been a joke in CS. Wait until they start adding guns, new utility & bring back the shield. Why do people want an intrusive anti cheat when they can play FACEIT?

I used to sit there and complain but I’ve understood that cs isn’t gonna get any better so I just moved over to deadlock
