Glad I got the bluray a couple years ago. For those worried about physical media, I encourage buying legal copies when available to support the artists, but for things that are unavailable a BR burner and blank discs are pretty affordable and if you want to take the extra step, printers to create covers and custom discs aren’t crazy expensive either.

God bless companies like @discotekmedia for saving old anime. I dont trust the streaming services with anime, which is why I have a library of DVD/Blu-ray.

Friendly reminder that Blu-ray sales only benefit the creator a tiny bit. Merch sales have a way higher percentage of the money going into their pocket. If you see officially licensed merch, buy it.

I don't know why. Most people think that these libraries are gonna be forever. Nana disappeared off a crunchyroll a few months ago, but Still it's streamable on Hulu. Companies buy and sell licenses all the time. I'm not sure why customers are so delusional about this procedure

Monster did have a physical release before; “Collection 1”, which I think was 13 episodes only released in the USA, and in Australia they had all 6 collection come out. First time it will be available on Blu-ray, and in its complete form stateside. Thank you @discotekmedia

you forget that Diskotek has an issue with who they bring on as a localizer to translate the anime.

I'm glad that I bought the Blu-Ray release about 9 months ago... same with 86, along with Cowboy Bebop and GitS (Movie and both SAC seasons and will buy if the 2026 GitS gets Blu-Ray too).

i love 86 and by the time i found out it was physical only, it was sold out. happy for everyone who got their hands on it!

This is going to happen with video games as well, so definitely always buy a physical copy of the games, movies or tv series that you love.

Crunchyroll didnt buy funimations licenses, sony already owned funimation when ur bought cruncyroll and just rolled all of funimations stuff into cruncyroll

When Sony acquired Crunchyroll. Not when Crunchyroll acquired Funimation. Let’s get that fact right
