I feel like the 100x comes from meeting expectations of folks who use drawing tools professionally. Keyboard shortcuts etc. If OpenAI wants "power users" to be able to get a lot out of this feature they need to get this stuff right.

@thsottiaux tldraw is completely engineered for multiplayer ( has free real time collab and a self hostable sync module as part of the SDK)

Honestly openai just buy the sdk and use tldraw directly, it’s awesome. SOURCE: used it since it came out in a real gigantic product

I love this. Few notes: The pursuit of perfection. I think that holds weight. It’s a double-edged sword too, but to the right person, the perfection of the arrow is noticed and acknowledged for what it is, the reasoning, and for others the perfection is felt. I think the pursuit of helping users feeling perfection is a totally valid way to spend years of work. Secondly, the leaking the API key. Hilarious. Love it. And you kept it in the video to Tibo instead of re-recording. Good call imo. Good luck man.

Delivered, incredible. I'm curious if you think a good model could reverse engineer a lot of the features you mentioned you put care into perfecting in the video?

I've tried and no, the micro UX and polish is non-obvious, not really specified, and just very difficult to get right... in part because there's no right answer and it takes enormous effort to stay consistent across so many design decisions
