Also, just to throw this out there, if you simply use the bucket tool multiple times on the same spot it will advance a few more pixels each time and cover that ugly border anyway.

Works well if you're using the same colour, but if you're looking to use one different to the linework it's not super effective by itself. Increasing the tolerance can help. Duplicating the lineart and colouring it on a lower layer using the area scaling will keep the lines clean

In this case, you can make a new layer under and set your line art layer as a reference layer.
