Here’s a breakdown for you Which state should I cover next?

💰 Let’s break down what $100,000 looks like in my home state of #Oregon when it comes to taxes. Spoiler alert: it’s a hefty price to pay!

In Oregon, making $100,000 means you’ll face (approximately): $14,000 in federal taxes $7,700 for FICA $7,500 in state taxes

Oregonians spend about 23.37% of their income on taxes. That’s the second highest in the US! Serious money that could be going towards savings or investments instead.

Oregon is a no sales tax state - which is great for consumers. But with state income tax rates ranging from 4.75% to 9.9%, it’s clear that our tax system hits hard. Especially for those earning over $125,000.

Nebraska, I think we should move to sales tax ONLY. No other taxes. Everyone pays, those who spend more pay more, and everyone knows the price of government everytime they look at the receipt. Everyone has skin in the game. If it’s too high, it pressures politicians to reduce spending aka increase efficiency. Follows the ebbs and flows of the economy. SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHH

Very insightful and objective. I’d love to see Fox News hire you and you could cover one state a week.

Texas, since you hit a state with no sales tax

Tennessee

Michigan

Nebraska your 2nd Forever Home!

Not a state but a province in Canada for comparison purposes! May find taxes at pretty good in Oregon!

Nebraska! Im surprised federal is so low. I thought it would be over $20,000.

Now show your Secretary of States website NOT having Donald Trump or JD Vance as President & VP as candidates! Oregon is corrupt!!

Then Portland even has more on top of that!
