@ModestLaw Nintendo puts there money into gameplay and mechanics. Sony puts there money into Graphics.

@ModestLaw What Nintendo has done with the hardware and limitations of it should not be possible. And yet here we are. Soooooo many game devs are going to be asked to make a ToTK like game and it will be a Obadiah/tony Stark response.

@ModestLaw It’s good that even other devs are flabbergasted by this game like the rest of us

@ModestLaw people think it’s impossible* under modern AAA game development standards. They are wizards over at Nintendo for making it work, all credit to them. We could have more games like it but corpos that run most major dev studios would never let a team take the time to figure it out

@ModestLaw We're gonna randomly find out this was all possible cuz of a major cpu overhaul they were able to just turn on like the Bluetooth update

@ModestLaw Was literally talking to my boss about this. I was blown away with what they accomplished in BOTW, no with everything in TOTK I am just straight up flabbergasted ast to how the game functions at all.

@ModestLaw They've likely been really really clever about how they set up each task for multithreading and I would bet they made a very efficient and flexible scheduler to handle all of that. They've taken quite a while to make the game so they've probably been very careful and planned.

@ModestLaw It’s so true and incredible. Or have we just forgotten how to push hardware because we are so spoiled with it upgrading every 6-8 months? The game is awesome and so is this video for pointing this out.

@ModestLaw People who can't recognize the achievement, obviously never had written a single line of code.

@ModestLaw Incredible what’s possible when you spend a full year polishing the game when it’s virtually completed rather than rush out an unfinished game 9 months too early that you sort of fix with patches 2 years later.
