Here's a quick example of a Data App in Fabric, querying a semantic model. Creating a prototype like this takes maybe 10-20 minutes using the tools from Microsoft and a coding agent. Creating something you can share with users takes a lot longer of course. :)

Woah - looks like the agent nailed the visual interactions as well? (I assume the backend / SDK doesn't have any functionality to support that OOTB, so it's all custom made by your AI agent?)

Yes indeed; there are some things that come out of the box in the fabric-visuals package from Microsoft but i.e. the drilldowns I configured myself in the frontend.

And when you say "configured myself", was it something along the lines of "make viz interact with eachother, make no mistakes"?

This is really cool Do you think this will eliminate the need for embedded Power BI reports? How is security handled?

Uses Fabric SSO - there's no dedicated security doc but this describes auth in brief: - the npm packages have some detail, too. I dont know. It's possible. I can foresee this eliminating the need for a lot of things, but too early to say.

imo the 10-20 min prototype is actually the trap, stakeholders leave thinking you're 90% done

gotta be very careful about when and why you show those stakeholders the prototype :) also a problem pre-ai with figma-ware and high-fidelity mockups.
