I think this one wins for an early lynch comparison

woah no kidding, that monkey laughing at the guy is absolutely in that category ... that said the Japanese never needed Lynch in terms of inspiration for out there cinema, they are on a level of masters

I'm not entirely sure what happened in this movie, but it was visually arresting and revolting in equal measure. Arguably better than the first one.

A much much deeper story, I love how melancholy it is... I'm actually getting ready to throw it on again today
