@TheOXGod Had this. Shit was revolutionary. Also the only way to play Shadowrun back then

@TheOXGod The origin story for cloud gaming

@TheOXGod Watching the promos for this in the Boonies knowing it wouldn't work at my house is a feeling you will never know

@TheOXGod I almost didn't graduate high school because of the Sega Channel

Was it really that hard to stop playing during its time?

@TheOXGod Take me back 😫 @TheFilmJunkee

@TheOXGod This was Netflix before we knew what Netflix even was!

@TheOXGod I lived on Sega channel for like a year and half as a kid felt like I unlocked greatest video game secret known to man kind lol

@TheOXGod My dad worked for the cable company so we got it for free for "testing" to make sure it worked. Had it the entire lifetime of the service. Was truly amazing.

That’s so dope! Couldn’t imagine the feeling finding out your getting Sega Channel for free and forever

@TheOXGod I was sad when they stopped service

@TheOXGod The two years that I had Sega Channel was the most fun times I can remember.

@TheOXGod still my favorite gaming experience

@TheOXGod if you had sega channel you were rich 😤 but playing royal rumble on there was pretty sick

@TheOXGod This was legit, I had a friend who had this. He let one of my friends borrow it and we played it.

@TheOXGod My dad got this for me and my brother in the 90’s. It really was ahead of its time!

Did y’all ask for it or he just surprised you with it?

@TheOXGod Was a Christmas morning surprise!

@TheOXGod So ahead of its time

@TheOXGod the girl was doing a great job explaining and then a bunch of jackasses who can't act chimed in

@TheOXGod She forgot about the loading theme song

@TheOXGod I had the Sega Channel for a few months. I remember it had a demo of MK3 before it was released.

MK3 on Sega hit different. Couldn’t imagine having it at home before release date

@TheOXGod @GooningOnRumble

@TheOXGod Kids these days don't know how good they have it. Back in the 90s, online gaming was available to console users, but just slightly out of reach. Sega Channel and the XBand were pioneers --but widespread adoption was still a decade away.

@TheOXGod Sega was always ahead of its time, but arguably too early to market. Sega CD, 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast --all incredible hardware that came first but was overshadowed by a better iteration by a competitor.

@TheOXGod My friend had it, I think it would have worked better if we lived in a bigger city, it was a lot of waiting for it to download

@TheOXGod PHIL MOORE!

@TheOXGod @AdamJones717

@TheOXGod Ah, it's Nick Arcade Phil Moore!

@TheOXGod @DariusTh3Artist

@TheOXGod @Maximus56859434 did you know about this shit???

@TheOXGod WHY am I just hearing about this NOW?! Over 30+ years later?!! I bought the Genesis when it released in 89 in the US.. the Sega CD the 32x ..all of it.. never heard about this at all.. my mind is blown..🤯🤯😳

@TheOXGod I actually had this! It was awesome! (When it worked, lol)

@TheOXGod I loved sega channel

@TheOXGod Oh man Sega Channel was my favorite Christmas present ever. From ages 10-12, I would wake up on the first of the month to check out the new games.

@TheOXGod Man if Sega went all in on this they probably would rule gaming today. I owned a genesis and never even knew about this feature absolutely ingenious. Literally the for runner of online gaming before it went massive with counter strike.

@TheOXGod Legendary 💯💯

@TheOXGod Literally one of 2 good memories with my brother was him blowing my mind with this

@TheOXGod I had one of these!
