Here's a way to get 2 EASY points on your PAT!! I have found that MANY programs no longer watch PATs with Hudl. We did this probably 9-10 times one season. Team after team acted like they never saw it.

The kicker doing the half ass fake kick on the first one with no holder cracked me up, but then it occurred to me if someone is scouting and not paying attention to the PAT, at a glance it makes it look more standard.

Half those should have been called for illegal shift.

What is illegal?

They are not set for a second.

About 4 years worth of officials never threw a flag.

We ran into a team that did the same thing. All it took was a pre-game talking too and it was called. This speaks more to the fact that other coaches don’t know the rules.

@chriscfore Official here, QB does need to be set for "1 second". Nobody has a stop watch counting but they definitely can't be moving still at the snap. I think it's a great call by you, but I would still recommend pregaming the play with the officials to help avoid any penalties

@chriscfore That’s what I did with officials. We didn’t get all of them, but after the 2nd one. They stopped. So mission accomplished.

Would not get that on me. As STC, I watch every play on ST you have on film. Isn't that my job?

Yes it is

We run this after we shift from swinging gate and hide the QB during the shift.

Just remember, you do not get the number exception when the holder is not on a knee 7 yards back

Taught our defensive tackle to always jump offsides with contact if there was any kind of trickery like that. Most officials blow the whistle and give you your half the distance.

Mann!!! Take that down!! Don’t let my schedule see this

Love it Also, a team that does scout it spends a bunch of time preparing for it

Got 2 on a PAT by doing a direct snap to our kicker and having him run it up the middle. Luckily he was also the starting RB 😆

Brilliant

Nice. My son is now a senior, watched all (I think) of his hs games the last three years… never seen a team do this.

Let’s Go Bulldogs…

This is some outstanding work right here

That’s because it’s a false start. Those backs cannot make abrupt quick motion forward.

okay. Wasn't called a false start for the whole time I did it. Never had one false start flag on this.

Assuming it was NFHS rules, that’s a false start because it is a shift that simulates action at snap, and it’s a shift intended to cause B to encroach.

Cool. Never got called that way in 3 years.

@KyluuQ @Caldwell06 Special Teams!

We use to run lil stuff like this all the time at my HS in practice, never once called it in games. Appreciate you for giving those kids chances to shake things up. They’ll appreciate you when they’re done playing.

Love it!

This is gold right here

Just the opposite. We would run and go on silent count and refs would call a penalty every time. They saw C and would call illegal procedure. This is a great play

Here’s a way to never get 2 easy points on your PAT again

@HarpSterling
