Here's a wee curiosity from 1978. Supposedly a local from Peter Keenan's Stable Bar setting off to cycle all the way to Argentina for the World Cup on his bike in 1978. It all feels a bit acted, although I don't immediately recognise the main man. 📷 STV #Glasgow #WorldCup

This compilation was aired on Grandstand in 1986 as a preview for the 1986 World Cup Finals and was dubbed 86 goals for 86, which was part of a longer compilation which included 86 World Cup goals from the 1950s to 1982 which unfortunately I don’t have.
