Here's an extended version of Gaia's Battle Theme from the Dissidia Duellum closed beta! Out of all the arrangements in this game, Gaia's theme has perhaps the BIGGEST shoes to fill. Not a fan of how Return to Oblivion sounds here, but the parts with Shadowbringers are great 🎸

Yeah I don’t think the two songs meshed well together, should have done one or the other honestly. Shadowbringers theme would have been better for her given her lore. When I hear Return to Oblivion I think of Ryne more than Gaia

I think it could have worked better if they didn't modulate the hell out of the vocals from Return to Oblivion so much. That being said, 🎶RIDING HOOOOME🎶 goes hard no matter where it's used hahaha

TRUE. If the vocals from Return to Oblivion were a bit more harmonized, I think I would have liked this song better. But thankfully Shadowbringers theme is here to bump this music up. It always sounds good no matter how many times you hear it hahaha

it sounds so good until return to oblivion chorus drops... like, turn the light on parts is so vibey and then the chorus drops and its just noisy

This is one of those songs people won’t understand why it fits so well until they play it. The upbeat chaos of the song makes it sound like you’re always in the heat of battle which is perfect for this game

they should have just made it Shadowbringers and saved a Return To Oblivion remix for if Ryne shows up in game.

return to oblivion is so discordant and it makes sense for the raid story in xiv but in dissidia it just sounds off

I think Return to Oblivion’s vocals are just made for that original arrangement. The vocals don’t pop out enough, they’re like an instrument so it’s weird when you try to make them pop out
