Billions of dollars from New York State are now going to NYC instead of helping New Yorkers outside the failing city. My kid and I rode MTA bus & trains (13 of them!) in the span of 4 hours (for fun, he maps out his ideas). Most of it was cool but this Q72 was a hellacious ride. Why? Late. Packed. EVERY stop from Roosevelt to Queens Blvd had cars PARKED in the bus stops. I felt so damn bad for the people aboard who ride it regularly. It took us 27 minutes to go from Roosevelt/Junction to the Queens Blvd, a 1.4 mile distance we could have walked as fast. I hope one way Zohran Kwame Mamdani NYC DOT NYPD NEWS can help speed up buses is to start enforcing the law. It is ridiculous 1 person in a car can hold up 40 on a bus and make traveling worse! What we’re seeing is a humanitarian crisis that continues to be ignored year after year. The Angels are providing meals, water, gloves, jackets, and handwarmers, and helping connect people to shelters. Too often those shelters are packed or unsafe, forcing many to sleep on the streets or in the subways. That’s the reality. While many of us are warm, too many are struggling just to survive. The Guardian Angels are here to help, because no one should be left behind in the cold. Join us. Dare to care. Visit to get involved!
