Android vs. iOS app quality difference [Part 8] This one is about two highly-requested media apps: Spotify and Netflix. Netflix is miles better on iOS, but Spotify is about the same in my opinion because each version has one extra feature that's absent on the other. Netflix: - Netflix on iOS has a very modern design. Cool animations while logging in, and 3D parallax effect on the main title shown on the homepage. Nothing like this on the Android version. - You can use gestures to navigate the titles as shown in the video, and it's coupled with cool animations. Absent on the Android app. Spotify: - On the iOS app, you can use swipe up/down gestures to navigate between the mini-player and main music player UI. Can't do that on Android. - However, on the Android app, you can like a song directly from the notification panel - which is very useful. You can add a song you like to your Liked playlist directly without having to open the app. I believe this is on Apple alone, since they don't allow adding shortcuts like that to media player. Something like a fake “YouTube update” or adult site redirect - Or physical access to your phone at some point to install spyware - Spyware or Remote Access Tool Once inside, the malware could request or silently use your camera and mic permission - It could run in the background and disguising itself as a legitimate process in your phone The “typing, clicking, breathing, man’s voice” she described could be the attacker live-monitoring or testing controls Even if you accidentally got this on your phone, the hacker would still likely be limited Likely saying in YouTube with background access only to your camera and mic while YouTube plays normally Even still, this is extremely creepy and not something you want to happen. There are the Fountainhead self driving trucks in Texas American says the truck is near repeatedly driving by the area over and over again as if it’s lost But here’s the thing, this shouldn’t happen These trucks are not supposed to keep driving forever like this if they are lost. They have ‘Autonomous systems’ with checking 1,000+ components continuously including sensors, software, vehicle systems If ‘Fallback mode’ activates for critical issues the truck should safely pull over to the shoulder or a safe stop location and stop operating autonomously Remote operators should be notified It seems like these vehicles aren’t paying attention to their programming and blindly driving back and forth. There still some bugs that need to be worked out
