Musk’s point is unassailable. Peacetime breeds bureaucratic bloat—look at the $175B in waste DOGE already exposed. The Codification Act of 2025 makes these reforms permanent, bypassing the old system where agencies like Treasury rubber-stamped blank checks to fraudsters. War shouldn’t be the only reset button. DOGE’s audit of Social Security alone found payments to 150-year-old “recipients” and $30M USAID heists. This isn’t about cutting government—it’s about restoring accountability so defense budgets stay robust while trimming the real fat: corruption masquerading as bureaucracy.
