My oldest son was just named an All American Soccer Player. Last year Sports Illustrated Named him a top 20 recruit. He’s a senior in High School. He has only had sporadic contact from coaches. No commitment anywhere. The idea of be great at sports go to college is broken

I’d also re-edit this video. The first two plays he could’ve made a pass for a tap-in but scored a beautiful goal instead (a lot of coaches will turn it off after that). There are a couple clips of great pressing and receiving the ball with his back to goal. Start with those.

Thanks for the feedback!

I can see by the video why he is struggling to get coaches to pay attention Much of the competition in the video is literally walking to defend The amount of space he has is incredible He needs to prove he can play against the big boys

Yeah I mean anytime he’s wearing red he is playing at the ECNL level

He should easily get a d1 offer. Maybe not high tier d1, but d1. He’s really solid.

Thank you! Yeah his GPA is the thing keeping him from a top top program

it’s Idaho 🤣 u gotta go out of your way to sell that kid to programs starting sophomore - junior year. He’s behind curve if u haven’t been contacting coaches to see him at out of state tournaments. Either way, if he’s the Gatorade player of the year he should be getting a full ride

The main issue isn’t his GPA, although that will absolutely keep him from Stanford and top academic programs. The real issue is Idaho, and the sheer lack of competition. He can play, but the defending against him is absolutely shocking. He’s going to always be Plan B or C…

My son plays for a top D1 program. Some honest feedback: if he is a 2025, it is very late in the game to be approaching coaches now. Should have been on that at least a year ago. I doubt grades are a huge issue, plenty of players with lower grades at good schools.

Yeah definitely late to the party. Didn’t know what we didn’t know unfortunately
