Here’s how a urinary catheter operates

🙄I had this for 10 days after an operation, and I didn't cope well. The urine didn't flow easily through the tube and ran very painfully around it as if it were blocked (it wasn't). Result:more urine fell on the floor than into the bag! The tube also injured my urethral opening

@InterestingSTEM Gently? Once I could not urinate after surgery. Sure didn’t seem gentle!

Please this is a all the time infection waiting to happen no matter how clean you think! Plus you must change the catheter once a month and flush out or it can clog. But the infections are very real!

Indeed so then too? My alas late dad had one of those in hospital in 2012 indeed? But alas also he found it painful then also too? I have those troubles also at times; though I don't have one of those fitted at all?
