I just heard a Republican talking about people who supposedly "sit at home and collect Medicaid." What a strange thing to say. It's not a cash welfare program. There's nothing to collect. It's simply a way for the poor and disabled to access health care, an insurance plan.

He should learn about Georgia's disastrous experience with work documentation. "Only a small number of people were enrolled in the state program, and administrative costs exceeded spending on medical care."

Adding this chart. Take a minute and read it.

They act like extreme disability is the only thing that should get Medicaid. Even a more minor disability can make it almost impossible to get a job.

How tf does one "collect" Medicaid? It's not like it's some cash assistance program where we can horde the money instead of use it.

Fuck you Jim Banks You just want another industry to kickback our fucking tax dollars to your grifting asses.

Since what you said didn’t make sense, I decided to listen to it for myself. He’s talking about able-bodied people who have no interest in joining the workforce, and instead of live off the entitlements such as Medicaid. Are you OK with that?

I stand corrected . He is dumbass

Oh, "it's not fair", huh? Kind of like subsidies for the rich? How come 'fairness' is not a problem in those situations, only for the poor?

1/2 How come Jim Banks doesnt know this? Medicaid is primarily for people with low incomes, typically measured against the Federal Poverty Level. The income thresholds vary by states.

This gentleman says that supposedly 5 millions americans sit at home and collect medicaid. Approx 78 million are on medicaid. So about 6.5% of people on medicaid just collect a check that could work but thats also 1.5% of us citizens. Thats such a small number for such a big deal
