I hear you and I raise you: “Do you give a shit about you?” I’ve struggled with the same and eventually and stopped dating all together about a decade ago, only to come to the conclusion that the reason it happened is because I was not able to set boundaries. I compromised on my own values to pursue people who deep down I knew didn’t feel the same. I ignored the red flags. I rationalised behaviours. I allowed it for a chance to not feel lonely, to be touched, to get dick. The fact it’s a pattern is quite telling. So is the confession that you “jokingly” call it a marriage, or you put in extra energy and compromise other areas of your life for someone who isn’t as invested. If you want the dudes to value you the way you know you deserve, you may need to act like you value you.

i’m confused how i don’t value myself, but immediately broke up with him? a lot of you on social media believe you have all the answers for other people, and are so quick to tell someone about “themselves” and that’s the real world issue, i have never cared about being touched.
